    Susannah Sisler and Jesse Leech
    and
    Their Descendants
    Book II
    by
    Patrick T. Smith

Susannah Sisler and Jesse Leech started their family in Allegany (Garrett) County, Maryland. Susannah Sisler was the daughter of Elizabeth Friend, granddaughter of Gabriel Friend (1752 to 1854) and the great granddaughter of John Friend, Sr. (1728 to Aft 1808). Susannah Sisler and Jesse Leech were the parents of Huldah Anetha Leech, William Finley Leech, Lucian Bonaparte Leech, Mary Ann Leech, Sarah E. Leech, James Leech and Charles Lincoln Leech. They would start their family Fayette Co., PA before moving to Allen Co., OH. Their sons, William Finley Leech and Lucian Bonaparte Leech, and extended family would serve in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

Unfortunately, I could find little personal information about Susannah Sisler and Jesse Leech. This book focuses on their children and descendants. That information was formed with birth, marriage, death, and burial records, then expanded with the US Census, family bibles, books, land deeds, wills, estate records, photographs, personal histories, and military accounts. The first chapter has a brief review on the Friend Family genealogy starting with Nils Larsson Friend (Frande), a Swedish immigrant who came to the New World in 1648 proceeding through the generations ending at Elizabeth Friend, mother of Susannah Friend. The second chapter outlines Huldah Anetha Leech and
William Finley Leech. Lucian Bonaparte Leech and Mary Ann Leech will be presented in detail in this book, while Sarah E. Leech, James Leech and Charles Lincoln Leech are also outlined in this and featured in Book III.

This book contains 588 pages, is fully indexed, and presented in an outline format. Proceeds from the sales of the books (which are published by the FFAA) will go to the FFAA (a non-profit organization). All book sales are tax deductible and final.

Spiral bound book in Black and White is available for $60 . A color PDF version can be downloadable version for $30 through the website.
