Patrick T. SmithFriendsville sits in the Northwestern corner of Garrett County, Maryland and was founded in 1765 by John Friend Sr. (1728 to Aft. 1808). This book is a reflection of the numerous works that were written on Friendsville, while encompassing some new materials. This book is intended as an avenue to bring the history of the area back into the forefront and as a gentle reminder to those who have read the previous writings. This book is comprised of 142 pages, fully indexed and contains over a hundred photographs with maps from the turn of the 20th century to the present. Additions or corrections are welcomed and the authors can be contacted through the Friend Family Association of America (FFAA) at Friendsville, MD or by e-mail through the FFAA web site. (www.friendfamilyassociation.com). The initial cost of printing the book has been donated to the FFAA. Proceeds from the initial copies and reprints produced by the FFAA book will go to the FFAA (a non-profit organization). All book sales are tax deductible.
Spiral bound books are Black and White and the USB, Download and CD formats are color copies.
