Description
Ann Currence & Peter Conrad and Their Descendants of Randolph County, VA (WV)
Part 2 Featuring children: John B. Conrad, Diana Conrad, Rachel Conrad, Mary Polly Conrad, Maria Conrad and Barbara Conrad
by
Patty (Friend) ThompsonHaving very limited information for Nancy Friend in the form of records, this book concentrates mainly on Nancy’s daughter, Ann Currence with her husband, Peter Conrad.
Ann Currence was the second known child of Nancy Friend, granddaughter of Jonas Friend, great, granddaughter of Israel Friend, great, great granddaughter of Andrew Friend and great, great, great granddaughter of Nils Larsson Friend. Ann was born in Virginia in 1786 and she died in 1856.
Ann Currence married Peter Conrad, son of Ulrich Conrad and Elizabeth Dresier, and to this union fifteen children were born.
This book is a 387 page documented record presented by the author in an effort to preserve the life of Nancy Friend and Ann Currence. Since no personal diaries or documented stories were written by Nancy or Ann themselves their lives are represented in the form of US Census records, transcribed deeds, wills, photographs, obituaries, newspaper articles, military documents, birth, marriage and death records in an effort to record their family’s history before it is lost to time.
Ann Currence married Peter Conrad, son of Ulrich Conrad and Elizabeth Dresier, and to this union fifteen children were born.
Ann Currence’s children Nancy, Elizabeth, Sarah, Phoebe, and Allcey will be covered in detail in Ann Currence & Peter Conrad Part 1 (2015).
Ann Currence’s children David, Peter, Syrena and Jacob B. will be detailed in Ann Currence & Peter Conrad Part 3 (2015). Both books are also available from the FFAA’s website. Friendfamilyassociation.com
