National Headquarters
While our members come from all over America, Canada and England, our National Headquarters is located at the intersection of First & Maple Streets in Friendsville, Maryland.
It is housed in the old Bank building and it is the home of the Colonel Lester D. Friend, Sr. Historical Library, the Family Heritage Museum and store described elsewhere on this page.
Our National Headquarters will be open on Fridays. Please call first to double check open hours.
Colonel Lester D. Friend, Sr. Historical Library
Named in honor of our founder, the library is located on the second floor of the Headquarters building, it is equipped with historical and genealogical material primarily related to the Friend and related families. The library is NOT a lending facility, and its resources must be used on site. Genealogical research is available at a small fee – for further information, contact the Librarian.
Family Heritage Museum
Located on the first floor of the Headquarters building, the museum depicts a history of early life in the United States, the history of Western Maryland, and life of the early settlers in this country.

Our National Headquarters is located in Northern Garrett County, Maryland at Route 68, exit 4. Garrett County is the western most county in Maryland.
